Quick answers to the questions we hear most — accounts, trading, automation, billing and brokers.

Getting started & account

Go to demo.alphasync.app and sign up with your email or Google account. You start immediately with ₹10,00,000 in virtual capital on 30-day delayed NSE & BSE market data — no broker account, documents or payment needed. (Per SEBI, the public demo serves 30-day delayed data for educational use, effective 1 July 2026; for live data, connect your own Demat/broker account or use the API for technical testing.)

Yes. You can explore the platform with a free virtual-capital (paper trading) account on 30-day delayed market data — no real money, no broker account. The demo is for commercial users and institutions to understand the interface, every strategy, the strategy builder, the AI mentor and the full feature set, and for beginners to learn the basics of the Indian market. (For live data, connect your own Demat/broker account or use the API for technical testing.)

Yes — virtual capital can be reset anytime from the platform, so you can start a clean experiment whenever you want.

Use 'Forgot password?' on the login page to receive a reset link at your registered email. If you signed up with Google, just continue with Google — there's no separate password.

Open Settings from the sidebar: Profile for name, photo and phone; Appearance for light/dark mode; Trading for default order preferences; Notifications for alert choices.

Trading, orders & portfolio

Outside market hours (NSE/BSE: 9:15 AM – 3:30 PM IST, Mon–Fri), quotes freeze at the last traded session's data and the top bar shows 'Market Closed · Frozen'. Everything unfreezes automatically at the next session open.

They're product types: MIS (Margin Intraday Square-off) for intraday positions that auto-square before close; CNC (Cash and Carry) for equity delivery; NRML (Normal) for overnight F&O positions. Choose the product in the order panel when placing a trade.

The Orders page shows every order with status (filled, pending, rejected), filters by date, side and product, and separate tabs for Manual, Alpha AutoTrade and Algo orders. You can export the orderbook anytime.

Portfolio & P&L breaks it down: Realised P&L (closed trades), Unrealised P&L (open positions at current prices), Live M2M (mark-to-market), gross exposure and holdings win rate. The top-bar Total P&L combines realised and unrealised.

Yes — dedicated desks for each: Futures (with basis, OI and expiry analytics), Options (chain analytics including PCR, max pain, IV rank and Greeks) and Commodities (22 MCX contracts across metals, energy and agri).

Algo trading & automation

Open Algo Trading → New Strategy. Pick one of nine templates (SMA Crossover, RSI, MACD, Bollinger, EMA, VWAP Bounce, Supertrend, ATR Breakout, Stochastic Reversion), set your symbol, position size, stop-loss % and take-profit %, tune the parameters and save. It runs automatically during market hours. See the documentation for details.

Algo Trading runs strategies you configure. Alpha Auto is the platform's own automation engine: it scans the market continuously, scores setups with a confidence threshold, and trades within strict position caps once you switch it on. Both tag their orders separately in your orderbook.

No. AI signals are informational; trades happen only through strategies or engines you explicitly configure and start. You can stop any strategy or Alpha Auto with one click, and every automated order is logged and tagged.

Check three things: the market is open (strategies only evaluate during market hours), the strategy is started (status ON), and its entry conditions have actually triggered — the signal log shows what it evaluated. Risk limits (max positions, daily loss) also pause trading when breached: that's by design.

Yes, under SEBI's regulatory framework — orders route through registered brokers with algo tagging, rate limits and audit trails, which AlphaSync enforces automatically. Read our plain-language guide: SEBI's algo trading framework.

Partnerships & access

There are no fixed subscription charges. AlphaSync is offered through partnership models — a white-label, revenue-sharing model for commercial partners (sub-brokers, APs and HNI clients), and tailored campus programs for universities and colleges. Each engagement is scoped to your use case. See the partnerships page or talk to us.

Commercial terms are agreed per partnership and kept flexible — there are no rigid per-seat lock-ins. Specifics, including any minimum terms, are set out in your partnership agreement; see the Terms of Service for the general framework.

Yes. Academic programs include virtual-capital labs for every student on 30-day delayed market data (per SEBI, live market data is not shared for educational purposes, effective 1 July 2026; for live data, students and faculty use their own Demat account), plus a curriculum builder, trading competitions, leaderboards, faculty admin dashboards and joint certification options. Commercial teams get multi-seat management and white-label deployment. Talk to us about academy and partner deployments.

Broker connections & live trading

Zerodha Kite, Upstox, Angel One, Fyers, Dhan, Alice Blue, Zebu, BNR and Axis Securities — with more being added. Connections use each broker's official API.

You never share your broker password with AlphaSync. Connections use the broker's official OAuth flow — you log in on the broker's own page and can revoke AlphaSync's access at the broker anytime. Your funds always stay in your own broker account.

Close, but not identical. Virtual fills can't fully reproduce live liquidity, slippage or the psychology of real losses. Treat paper results as practice, not prediction — and start small when you go live. See our Risk Disclosure.

Troubleshooting & support

First check the market-status badge (data freezes when markets are closed). Then refresh the page, check your internet connection, and try a different browser or incognito window. Still stuck? Report it from the sidebar's Report page with a screenshot.

Use Report in the platform sidebar: add a title, category, what happened vs what you expected, and attach screenshots. You can track the status of your reports on the same page.

Email alphasync@vianmax.com or use the contact form — we respond within one business day. Phone: +91 98847 45599 (Mon–Fri, 9:00–18:00 IST).

Per our Privacy Policy: encrypted storage, no selling of data, DPDP Act rights, and a grievance officer you can write to. Broker tokens are encrypted and revocable.
