Platform Documentation

Everything in the AlphaSync platform, explained — from your first virtual trade to automated strategies. Based on the live platform at demo.alphasync.app.

01

Getting started

AlphaSync gives you a complete trading environment with ₹10,00,000 in virtual capital on live NSE & BSE market data — no broker account, API keys or deposits needed to begin. Sign up with email or Google at demo.alphasync.app and you land directly in the dashboard.

The top bar, everywhere

  • Search — find any stock instantly (e.g. RELIANCE, TCS) and jump to its chart.
  • Total P&L — your running profit/loss across all positions, always visible.
  • Market statusMarket Open / Market Closed, with a Frozen badge when quotes show the last session's data outside market hours.
  • Live ticker — index and large-cap prices streaming across the top.
  • Theme toggle — switch between light and dark mode.
Virtual capital, real data. Every trade on the demo platform uses simulated money against real market prices. Nothing you do here risks actual capital — and results don't guarantee live-trading outcomes.
02

Dashboard

The dashboard is your daily starting point — a single view of capital, market context and recent activity.

  • Capital cards — Total Capital, Available Cash, Invested, Current Value and Total P&L, updated in real time.
  • Market Indices — NIFTY 50, SENSEX, BANK NIFTY and NIFTY IT with intraday sparklines; click any index to open it in the Terminal.
  • Quick Actions — one-click shortcuts to the Terminal, Market overview, Futures desk and Portfolio.
  • Top Holdings & Recent Orders — your largest positions and latest fills, with links to the full orderbook.
  • Trade Now — jumps straight into the Terminal's order flow.
03

Trading Terminal

The Terminal is the core workspace: watchlists on the left, a full-height candlestick chart in the centre, and your positions below.

Watchlists

  • Create custom watchlists with +, or use the built-in NIFTY 50 and BANKNIFTY presets (all constituents pre-loaded).
  • Click any symbol to load its chart; the active symbol's live price and day change show in the header.

Charting

  • TradingView-powered candlestick charts with selectable timeframes (1m to daily; 5m default).
  • Indicators — add moving averages, RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands and more from the Indicators menu.
  • Tools — trendlines, levels and drawing tools; Strategies overlays signal markers on the chart.
  • A strategy-bias ribbon (e.g. Multi-Strategy BEARISH) summarises what the loaded strategies read from the current chart.

Placing orders

  • Open the Order Panel from the chart header, choose Buy/Sell, quantity, product (MIS / CNC / NRML) and order type, then confirm.
  • The bottom dock tracks Net Positions, Entry Lots (each entry shown separately) and Orders for the active session.
04

Orders

The orderbook records every order with its full lifecycle and your realised P&L for the day.

  • Status cards — Total, Filled (with fill rate), Pending, Rejected and Realised P&L with gross turnover.
  • Filters — by status, date range (Today / This Week / This Month / Custom), side (Buy/Sell) and product (MIS / CNC / NRML).
  • Source tabs — separate Manual orders from Alpha AutoTrade and Algo orders, so you always know which system placed what.
  • Export — download your orderbook for record-keeping or analysis.
Every automated order is tagged with its source strategy — the same audit-trail discipline SEBI's algo framework expects on live systems.
05

Portfolio & P&L

The portfolio view breaks your performance down honestly — not just a single P&L number.

  • Capital strip — Total Capital, Available Cash, Invested Capital, Live M2M and Net P&L.
  • P&L Breakdown — Realised vs Unrealised P&L, Live M2M, Gross Exposure and Holdings Win Rate, plus Winners / Losers / Open Position counts.
  • Allocation bar — how much capital is invested vs sitting in cash.
  • Holdings — every position with quantity, average price and current value.
  • Recently Traded — your latest fills with side, quantity, price and status, plus recent turnover.
06

Market overview

A quick situational read before you trade: benchmark indices (NIFTY 50, SENSEX, BANK NIFTY, NIFTY IT) as large cards — click any to open it in the Terminal — plus the day's Top Gainers and Top Losers with prices and percentage moves.

07

Futures desk

A dedicated terminal for index and stock futures with contract analytics alongside the chart.

  • Analytics panel — Spot price, ATM future, Premium, Basis, Total OI, Total Volume and a computed Trend tag for the loaded contract.
  • Expiry ladderNEAR / MID / FAR expiries side by side with price, premium, OI and volume, including days to expiry.
  • Futures contracts trade in lots (lot size shown in the contract header) and support the same charting, indicators and order panel as the equity terminal.
  • Positions and orders for the futures book are tracked in the bottom dock.
08

Options desk

The options workspace pairs the chart of any option contract with chain-level analytics that professional desks watch.

Chain Analytics panel

  • Positioning — Spot, PCR (put-call ratio), Max Pain and ATM strike.
  • Volatility — IV at ATM, IV Rank and IV Percentile, plus the Expected Move for the expiry.
  • Dealer flow — OI-weighted Net Delta and Gamma Exposure, computed from the chain snapshot.

Working your book

  • Tabs for Positions, Orders, Strategy Legs (build multi-leg structures), Greeks Exposure and Trade History.
  • Select any strike from the chain to load its chart and place orders through the Order Panel.
Connecting a supported broker (e.g. Zebu) enables the live option chain; without it the desk works from snapshot data.
09

Commodities (MCX)

Trade MCX contracts from a dedicated commodities terminal with its own watchlist and depth data.

  • MCX watchlist — 22 pre-loaded contracts filtered by Metals (Gold, Gold Mini, Silver, Silver Micro/Mini, Copper, Aluminium, Zinc…), Energy (Crude Oil, Natural Gas) and Agri; add symbols like GOLD with search.
  • Market Info panel — OHLC, bid/ask depth with quantities, average price, volume, LTQ/LTT, Open Interest, unit (e.g. per kg), lot size, expiry and DPR (daily price range) limits.
  • Momentum strip — one-week, two-week, one-month and 52-week moves for the loaded contract.
  • Charting, indicators, strategies and the Order Panel work exactly as in the equity terminal.
10

Algo Trading

Build rule-based strategies that run automatically during market hours — no code required.

Strategy templates

Start from nine pre-built templates, each combining a core signal with confirmation filters:

TemplateLogic
SMA CrossoverGolden/death cross + RSI zone + MACD momentum + volume confirmation
RSI StrategyOversold/overbought bounce + EMA trend filter + MACD turning + volume surge
MACD SignalSignal crossover + histogram momentum + RSI zone + zero-line strength
Bollinger BandsBand touch + RSI divergence + trend filter + volume spike
EMA CrossoverFast/slow EMA cross + MACD alignment + RSI confirmation + volume surge
VWAP BounceVWAP support/resistance bounce + RSI + MACD + volume — best for intraday
Supertrend PullbackATR channel reclaim/reject + EMA trend filter + momentum confirmation
ATR BreakoutBreakout beyond ATR-adjusted range with volume expansion confirmation
Stochastic ReversionStochastic extremes mean-reversion with confirmation filters

Creating a strategy

  • Click + New Strategy, name it, choose the Symbol and Strategy Type.
  • Set risk first: Max Position Size, Stop Loss % and Take Profit % are mandatory fields, not afterthoughts.
  • Tune the template's parameters (e.g. short/long SMA periods, trade quantity per signal) and save with Create Strategy.
  • Strategies evaluate live data during market hours and place tagged orders automatically; review their fills under Orders → Algo.
Test before you trust. Run any new strategy on the virtual account through different market conditions before considering it for live deployment. Past signals don't guarantee future results.
11

Alpha Auto Engine

Alpha Auto is the platform's hands-off automation engine: it scans the market continuously, scores opportunities, and trades within strict position limits once you switch it on.

  • Status strip — engine ON/OFF, detected market regime (e.g. NEUTRAL), open positions against the cap (e.g. 0/5), total trades, wins, losses and today's P&L.
  • Live Confidence Scanner — scores candidate symbols in real time; only setups above the confidence threshold (e.g. 54%) become trades.
  • Live Activity & Active Positions — a real-time feed of what the engine is scanning, entering and exiting.
  • 30-Day Performance — totals, profit/breakeven/loss counts, win rate and net P&L, plus a Recent Signals log.
  • Start and stop with one click; every Alpha Auto order appears in the orderbook under its own tab.
12

AI Mentor

The AI Mentor is a conversational assistant ("Sarah") built into the platform. Ask anything in plain English — product navigation, F&O basics, hedging concepts, or a risk check on your current positions.

  • Chat workspace — conversations are saved with history (e.g. "What is hedging?", "How to use EMA cross"), searchable, and can be starred or exported.
  • Position-aware — paste position details for contextual risk checks and safe trade-step walkthroughs.
  • Educational by design — explanations come with reasoning so you learn the why, not just the what.
AI Mentor responses are informational and educational only — they are not investment advice or recommendations. Always apply your own judgment and risk limits.
13

Leaderboard

See how your virtual performance ranks against other AlphaSync traders — by Today, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly or All Time. The podium shows the top three with P&L and percentage return; the full ranking lists every trader. A practical way for academies to run cohort competitions.
