AlphaSync Edge · Trading technology
The trading workspace, strategy engine and execution layer — in one platform.
Edge gives trading businesses, desks and strategy developers a professional terminal, dedicated derivatives and commodities desks, rules-first automation and APIs — with every order passing pre-trade risk checks on its way to the user’s own broker.

Overview
Built for organisations that trade with rules.
Edge is the trading-technology product in the AlphaSync ecosystem. It covers the full working day of a systematic or discretionary trading operation: market context, order entry across equity, F&O and MCX, strategy automation, execution monitoring and post-trade attribution.
Edge is delivered to trading businesses as a white-label or partner deployment, and to institutions as a custom build. Traders keep their funds and positions with their own SEBI-registered broker; Edge connects through official broker APIs.
Why Edge
Four design decisions that matter to operators
One workspace, every segment
Equity terminal, futures desk, options desk and MCX commodities desk share one order panel, one watchlist model and one positions dock.
Risk fields are mandatory
A strategy cannot be saved without maximum position size, stop-loss and take-profit. Risk is configured first, not afterwards.
Every automated order is attributable
Orders are tagged by source — manual, Algo or Alpha AutoTrade — so each fill traces back to the system that placed it.
Broker-agnostic by design
A strategy is defined once and routed through the user’s connected broker via official APIs, with revocable authentication.
Core capabilities
What Edge includes
Trading terminal
Watchlists with NIFTY 50 and BANKNIFTY presets, TradingView-powered charts from 1-minute to daily, indicators and drawing tools.
Futures desk
Spot, ATM future, premium, basis, open interest and volume, with a near/mid/far expiry ladder.
Options desk
PCR, max pain, IV rank and percentile, expected move, OI-weighted net delta and gamma exposure; strategy legs and Greeks exposure.
Commodities (MCX)
Dedicated MCX terminal across metals, energy and agri contracts, with depth, OI, lot size, expiry and daily price-range limits.
Algo engine
No-code strategy builder with nine templates, versioning and a Python SDK for developers.
Alpha Auto
An automation engine that scores opportunities and trades within strict position caps — only when the user switches it on.
API suite
REST and WebSocket APIs for market data, orders, portfolio and strategy control, with scoped keys and a sandbox.
Analytics
Per-strategy P&L attribution, slippage and latency reports, drawdown and exposure analytics, exportable history.
Trading workspace
Derivatives analytics where the decision is made.
The options desk pairs the chart of any contract with the chain-level analytics professional desks watch — positioning, volatility and dealer flow — and lets users build multi-leg structures in place.
- Positioning: spot, PCR, max pain, ATM strike
- Volatility: IV at ATM, IV rank, IV percentile, expected move
- Dealer flow: OI-weighted net delta and gamma exposure
- Tabs for positions, orders, strategy legs, Greeks exposure and trade history

Strategy ecosystem
From template to tagged order — without hiding the rules.
Strategies evaluate market data during market hours and place tagged orders automatically. Users start from a template or build on the canvas, validate, test on virtual capital, then deploy.
- Nine templates combining a core signal with confirmation filters
- Visual builder with versioning, plus a Python SDK
- Alpha Auto: regime detection, confidence scoring, position caps
- Test on the virtual account before considering live deployment

Strategy templates
| Template | Logic |
|---|---|
| SMA Crossover | Golden/death cross with RSI zone, MACD momentum and volume confirmation |
| RSI Strategy | Oversold/overbought bounce with EMA trend filter, MACD turn and volume surge |
| MACD Signal | Signal crossover with histogram momentum, RSI zone and zero-line strength |
| Bollinger Bands | Band touch with RSI divergence, trend filter and volume spike |
| EMA Crossover | Fast/slow EMA cross with MACD alignment, RSI confirmation and volume |
| VWAP Bounce | VWAP support/resistance bounce with RSI, MACD and volume — intraday |
| Supertrend Pullback | ATR channel reclaim/reject with EMA trend filter and momentum |
| ATR Breakout | Breakout beyond an ATR-adjusted range with volume expansion |
| Stochastic Reversion | Stochastic extremes mean-reversion with confirmation filters |
Templates are tools for building rules, not recommendations. Past signals do not guarantee future results.
Analytics
Separate strategy edge from execution cost.
Attribution shows which strategy contributes what, and execution-quality reports compare fills with signal prices — so operators can see whether a system is working or leaking to slippage.
- Per-strategy P&L attribution
- Slippage, latency and fill-quality reports
- Drawdown and exposure analytics
- Exportable history for compliance review

Risk management
Pre-trade checks on every order. Governed by HedgePro.
Every Edge order — manual, strategy or API — passes the pre-trade risk engine before it reaches a broker. Organisations that need centralised limits, exposure monitoring and hedging across many accounts use HedgePro alongside Edge.
- Account-level capital and exposure limits
- Per-strategy drawdown caps and daily loss limits
- Automatic square-off and one-click kill-switch
- Live delta, theta and vega monitoring
Connectivity
Your broker, your account, official APIs.
Edge connects to supported brokers through their official APIs. Users authenticate directly with the broker and can revoke access at any time; funds and positions never leave the broker account.
- Broker connectivity including Zerodha Kite, Upstox, Angel One, Fyers, Dhan, Alice Blue, Zebu, BNR, Axis Securities
- REST and WebSocket APIs for building on Edge infrastructure
- Isolated sandbox for development

Architecture
Part of a six-layer platform.
Edge runs as an application over shared AlphaSync services — the strategy engine, the pre-trade risk engine, data services and broker adapters.
Security
Designed around broker-side authentication, role-based access, scoped API keys and an audit trail of automated activity.
-
01
ExperienceWeb interfaces
Trading terminal, desks, faculty and learner views, admin consoles — role-aware and responsive.
-
02
ApplicationProduct applications
Edge, Campus and HedgePro as distinct applications over shared services, with per-product permissions.
-
03
IntelligenceStrategy & decision support
Strategy evaluation, Alpha Auto scoring, analytics and the educational AI Mentor. Automation only acts when a user enables it.
-
04
ServicesAPIs & business logic
Python services expose REST and WebSocket interfaces for market data, orders, portfolio and strategy control; the pre-trade risk engine sits here, in the order path.
-
05
DataPersistence & audit
Accounts, orders, fills, strategy versions and the audit trail of automated activity. Written asynchronously, off the order path.
-
06
ConnectivityBrokers & markets
Adapters to supported broker APIs for NSE, BSE and MCX order routing and market data. Orders always execute through the user’s own broker account.
